From your first request to delivery, here is how a barrel pick works.
- Step 01
Consultation & requirements
We define the spirit (bourbon, rye, single malt, rum, tequila, etc.), proof, age, budget, quantity, and whether you want official import or direct-to-consumer shipping.
- Step 02
Distillery & barrel sourcing
We identify US and Mexican distilleries that match your requirements and confirm barrel pick availability.
- Step 03
On-site barrel tasting
Our barrel pick team visits the distillery, tastes candidate barrels, and builds a shortlist.
- Step 04
Samples shipped to Korea
We ship samples of the shortlisted barrels to you in Korea. Clubs and groups can taste them together.
- Step 05
Final selection & negotiation
Once you choose a barrel from the samples, we negotiate price and bottling terms and finalize the contract.
- Step 06
Custom label (optional)
If you like, we design a label with your group name or logo and coordinate the specs with the distillery.
- Step 07
Export shipment or direct delivery
For official import, we prepare export documents and ship. For D2C, we deliver directly to you through the BARREL KOREA shipping network.
Delivery
How each delivery option wraps up
Official import
We hand the shipping documents and product information to your Korean importer. After arrival, customs clearance, import filing, and distribution are handled by the importer.
Direct-to-consumer shipping
Your bottles ship from the US or Mexico straight to you through the BARREL KOREA shipping network, with status updates along the way.
