Who it's for

Who our barrel picks are for

i.

Official import into Korea

For importers, bars, and retailers securing single barrel products to sell in Korea, we handle everything from barrel selection to export for official import.

ii.

Whiskey clubs

Club members taste samples together and choose one barrel. A custom label with your club's name makes the bottle truly yours.

iii.

Private groups

Groups of friends, companies, or special occasions can pick an entire barrel, starting from about 100 bottles.

Spirits

What we pick

From American whiskey and rum to Mexican tequila, we pick single barrels across a wide range of spirits.

Single barrel

What is a barrel pick?

Most whiskey is made by blending, or batching, many barrels together to produce a consistent taste. A barrel pick is the opposite: one barrel is chosen from a distillery's inventory and bottled on its own.

That means the only bottles of a barrel pick in the world are the ones that came from that barrel. Even with the same distillery and recipe, every barrel tastes different, so the barrel you choose becomes the character of the product.

Standard release
Many barrels blended, aiming for the same taste every time.
Barrel pick
One single barrel. Its own character goes straight into the bottle.

Why barrels differ

Why every barrel tastes different

Barrels filled on the same day and stored in the same warehouse still become different whiskeys over time.

01

Rickhouse position

Upper floors see bigger temperature swings, pushing spirit deeper into the oak; lower floors age more slowly and gently.

02

Age

More time brings more oak influence and complexity, but the oldest barrel is not automatically the best.

03

Mash bill

The ratio of corn, rye, wheat, and barley shapes the sweetness, spice, and softness of the spirit.

04

Char level

How deeply the inside of the barrel is charred shifts the caramel, vanilla, and smoky notes.

05

Entry proof

The proof at which spirit enters the barrel affects what the oak gives up and how much.

06

Evaporation

The angel's share differs from barrel to barrel, so final proof and bottle count vary too.

Our criteria

How we choose a barrel

Our barrel pick team tastes several candidate barrels side by side, then recommends the one that fits your purpose.

Nose
The first impression in the glass, and the layers that open up over time.
Palate
Depth and structure of flavor: sweetness, spice, oak, fruit.
Finish
How long the flavor lingers and how cleanly it ends.
Balance
Whether the flavors hold together without the alcohol running hot, even at high proof.
Character
A distinct personality that sets this barrel apart from a standard release.
Fit for purpose
Whether it suits your goal, from retail sales to a club's own enjoyment.
